Pilgrim III is a full-scale interpretation of the 1825 Brig PILGRIM — the ship immortalized in Richard Henry Dana Jr.'s Two Years Before the Mast — currently under construction at Driscoll Mission Bay. The build is being carried out by PILGRIM III FOUNDATION.

PILGRIM III is being built to US Coast Guard certification standards as a Sailing School Vessel. Its intended mission includes youth maritime education, public sailing experiences, and serving as a living museum and historical landmark representing early US and California Maritime history.
